This week, LP was working on interpreting isometric drawings; taking 3D objects and drawings and converting them into plans, and front and side elevations. A tricky concept for some students.
Using multilink cubes, LP was able to fashion his own versions of the shapes and convert them into plans and elevations. He also accepted a series of challenges from his teacher that really challenged his understanding.
That’s what we do best at Hawthorn – we work closely with our students, we know them well, and put into place the teaching and challenges that are specifically appropriate to them, so that they can progress quickly whilst taking ownership and autonomy over what they do.
